What type of career planner are you?

Your future awaits you…

The Prepper

You're the type of student who has already prepped their future - it's all mapped out. You know which university you want to go to, what you want to study, how long it will take, how much you'll make as a graduate and what train you'll have to catch to your first job.

Our tip: It's great to be prepared, but keep asking questions and be sure to keep your eyes open for other opportunities and pathways to your dream career.

The Sampler

You're the student who will sign up for every online event, fill out every contact form and download every PDF brochure you can find. Sure, you'll use up all your device's memory thanks to all those downloads, but it's worth it.

Our tip: Information is power, so be sure to read those brochures. They are a great way to compare your options and find the uni that's right for you. And remember, even though brochures are a great start, having a conversation can provide so much more insight. The team at UOW are ready and waiting, so drop us an email or phone call.

The Passenger

You're just along for the ride. Either your parents want you to follow a particular career path, or your teachers are encouraging you to study something at uni because you're good at it. Your interest level flatlines when someone asks, "What do you want to do after Year 12?"

Our tip: Get involved! There are heaps of events, webinars and live chats full of amazing information to get you excited about higher education and your career path. Ask yourself what you truly love doing and follow that as a first step.

The Pack

In moments of uncertainty like this, you like to stay in a larger group. There's usually a leader who makes the executive decisions about which booths to stop at. The rest of the pack are usually happy to just cruise along.

Our tip: Sure, there is safety in numbers, but don't be afraid to break free of the pack and follow your own instincts. This is your future and you're in control.
