WESTPAC

Dr Andy Schmulow is available for interviews about Westpac. He says APRA should be removing people from the board of Westpac and make the bank raise more capital to cover the continuing crisis. Dr Schmulow is a Lecturer in the School of Law and a prudential regulation expert.

Dr Ian Fargher can also provide commentary on the scandal engulfing Westpac. Last week Dr Fargher wrote about . He is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Business and an expert in forensic accounting.

 

BUSHFIRES

Dr Phil Zylstra can speak about bushfire conditions in New South Wales and Queensland. Dr Zylstra is an expert in fire management. He is a Research Fellow in the Centre for Environmental Risk Management of Bushfires at UOW.

 

WORLD SOIL DAY – THURSDAY 5 DECEMBER

Associate Professor Anthony Dosetto is available for interviews about World Soil Day (5 December). He says preserving our soil should be at the centre of our concerns, yet it rarely gets a look in. as they can make soil erosion much less sensitive to climate change. Prof Dosseto is the Founder of the Isotope Geochronology Laboratory at UOW.

 

INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES â€“ TUESDAY 3 DECEMBER

Dr Amanda Webster can speak about the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (3 December). Her research is focused on creating inclusive learning environments to support people on the autism spectrum. Dr Webster is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Education.
