PRESS FREEDOM â€“ AUSTRALIA'S RIGHT TO KNOW COALITION

Dr Anthony Ashbolt can comment on press freedom and Australia’s Right To Know coalition. He says the current cross-media campaign is needed. Dr Ashbolt is an expert in media politics, political theory, culture and politics. He is a Senior Lecturer in Politics in the School of Humanities and Social Inquiry.

Dr Timothy Byron has answered this question . Dr Byron is from the School of Psychology and has devoted his career to exploring the relationship between music and memory.

 

ELECTRICITY PRICES

Prof David Johnstone is available for interviews about electricity prices. He says the privatisation of electricity networks in Australia is a flawed program and has not brought the tariff reductions that households and business consumers were promised. Prof Johnstone researches the regulation of energy prices and is from the School of Accounting, Economics and Finance.

 

EL CHAPO'S SON RELEASED BY MEXICAN AUTHORITIES

Dr Luis Gomez Romero can speak about Mexican authorities detaining and releasing (just a couple of hours later) Ovidio Guzmán, one of El Chapo’s sons, after the Sinaloa Cartel took over the Mexican city of Culiacán. Dr Gomez Romero is a Senior Lecturer in Human Rights, Constitutional Law and Legal Theory. He practiced law in Mexico, where he achieved several years of experience in litigation, consultancy and legal and policy research.
